Promoting health, economic development and education in the impoverished regions of Africa
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.”
1 Corinthians 3:6-7
MISSION AND VISION
Background of Impacting Villages in Africa Ministries.
Who We Are
Impacting Villages in Africa Ministries, Inc. is a Non-Profit 501c3 Corporation in the USA and a
Registered LLC NGO in Uganda Africa.
Mission Statement
The mission of IVIAM is to promote health, economic development, Humanitarian relief, youth
programs, and education; help to develop good character, integrity, a positive attitude, positive
self-esteem, and leadership qualities for children and families in the impoverished regions of
Africa.
Vision
Our vision is to foster the needs of impoverished children and families by giving them the means
to build healthy, sustainable communities for themselves. We believe in developing sustainable
agricultural opportunities for villagers. We believe in providing opportunities for the people of
Africa, empowering them to move forward despite their economic or educational situation. We
“help them, help themselves.” Our Motto is: “Give a man a fish and feed him for one day; teach
a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime.” Our long-term goal is to have an Orphanage for severely
disadvantaged babies and children.
What We Do
➢ Our ministry works in areas of the country that are severely improvised and where child
mortality is skyrocketing due to AIDS and Malaria, and children who commonly suffer
from “worm disease” due to the contaminated water in the country.
➢ IVIAM is committed to developing programs for the children and families in the
community, which promote self-sufficiency and poverty relief. We have established and
developed a sustainable agricultural opportunity for villagers in the breeding and selling of
pigs. Utilizing these programs, we encourage them to start their own businesses. We show
them how to sustain themselves and how to become more independent.
➢ We provide water tankers in villages, which collect water during their rainy season. Due
to contaminated water in nearby ponds, rainwater will aid in giving the children clean
water.
➢ IVIAM has organized and established a Sanitary Pad initiative to help teen girls attend
school during the time of their menstrual cycle. Many teens stay home because they don’t
have the financial resources to purchase items to protect themselves each month. This
project is supported in many villages in Uganda and will expand to other countries.
➢ Working with our partners abroad, we help aid and facilitate a street ministry project to
bring teen boys off the street and into a safe environment.
➢ In order to meet the immediate needs of the villages, our ministry also provides feeding
programs, and activities for the children during our mission trips and these programs will
continue on the ground throughout the year.
➢ IVIAM provides several orphanages with toothbrushes, toothpaste, hygiene products,
clothing, sandals, clinic supplies, mosquito nets, and other items to help the children.
➢ We help to facilitate other projects such as entrepreneurial development programs for
families, educational programs for children, and mentorship programs. We want children
to understand that they are defined by their circumstances and that they can excel in being
the best and achieve all the resources available to them.
